Monday Morning Post

There’s nothing like a good Monday morning blog post to get the week started off right. My friend and co-worker told me about this awesome new mega league of manly men. This is what every kid dreams of. You get to arm wrestle, punch, kick, head butt, you name it – almost anything goes. And the best part…its a sport.

Who would win in a X-Arm match, me or Kyle?

  1. I assume, for the sake of keeping things fair, that we’re tying our left hands together, and thus I have to fight you right-handed. I think with my strong arm tied down it’d be a pretty close match. 🙂

  2. I don’t know. Since this is an arm wrestling match first, we’ll assume everyone is trying to keep their elbow on the table. The kicking part is the tricky part here. You’ve got to stay on the table and yet clear it to kick your opponent in the head. I’m going to go with Dustin here just for his reach advantage.

  3. Presumably past athletic dominance might predict future athletic success. Allow me to share from something I just came across while cleaning today — an old college group notepad. The following is from the final stats sheet from a wiffle-ball game somewhere in the Fresno area about three years ago.

    Dustin: 6 AB, 1 H, 1 R, 0 HR, 0 RBI
    Kyle: 7 AB, 4 H, 2 R, 2 HR, 3 RBI

I mean, if wiffle-ball isn’t a direct indicator of the X-arm competition, I don’t know what is. What more evidence do you need?

  4. While in my adolescence I may not have been so fortunate as to possess such skills (wiffle ball):

    1) I don’t think those stats are correct. I’m sure whoever was writing those down was obviously mad at me.

    2) I break late; I mean, common, I was 5’4″, 115 lbs when I was a sophomore in high school. I’m hitting my athletic prime right now. I have a 23″ bicep.

    3) I’m going to think of something real good…you just wait
